Multiple domain hosting comes in many different forms, shapes, and sizes. Sometimes, it means you can simply point domains at your account. Other times, the multiple domains that many hosts offer are what we call addon domains. However, here at Lightning Servers, when we say multiple domains, what we really mean is multiple accounts. (I know, that doesn't exactly clear things up for the confused, but if you don't get it, read on. It's not as complicated as you may think.) The way it works is, you get one master account. The master account is given the right to create sub-accounts. Each sub account you create is a full featured hosting account with it's own Cpanel Control Panel.
In addition to it's own Cpanel, your main account is given a separate administrator's control panel called Web Host Manager. With Web Host Manager, you have the ability to create new accounts, manage existing accounts, upgrade/downgrade, create hosting packages and many other features. Cpanel, together with WHM offer you a powerful, simple to use, and scalable solution to manage your hosting accounts and start a hosting business with little to no knowledge of server administration.
As your business grows, Cpanel/WHM can grow with you, allowing you to move seamlessly to a dedicated server and on to multiple dedicated servers.
