We know it sometimes gets a bit confusing with the different descriptions all of us hosts give for domains. An addon domain is added, not in the WHM control panel, but in the Cpanel of one of your users. When an account is created in WHM, it is a full featured hosting account, with it's own Cpanel and all the abilities that come with it. An addon domain, however, is simply an extra domain that your customers can add to their accounts. (You have the power to allow or disallow this from happening.) Addon domains don't get their own Cpanel and are NOT a full featured hosting account, but are more than adequate for many users' needs.
